Kyle deCamp is an interdisciplinary theater maker, performer and educator. Her recent multi-focused projects explore intersections of architecture, history, technology and individual lives. Productions including Urban Renewal and here where the bridge floats combine these multiple perspectives to imagine hybrid experiences of space in live performance. Kyle’s work with Barnard / Columbia students in the Barnard Theatre Department currently include courses in Acting II: Devised & Solo, and Improvisation. She is the Faculty Advisor for the Senior Thesis in Solo Performance, and directed Barnard productions Mockingbird and Madame Bovary. Her projects have toured extensively and garnered the Rome Prize, Hermes New Settings Award, New York Dance and Performance Award, New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship with support from NYSCA, Jerome Foundation and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council among other honors.
